Persik Kediri coach Marcos Reina is confident his team can break through Persib Bandung's goal, which is known for its very solid defense when playing at their home ground, the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api ) Stadium.
The two teams will meet in Week 25 of the BRI Super League, which will be held at GBLA . In their first meeting last January, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in Kediri.
"We'll be up against a strong team. Persib Bandung are the defending champions. They have good players and a consistent winning record at home. But we're going to Bandung with the mission of giving our best and trying to get three points," Reina said, as quoted from the official I.League website.
Persib has conceded only one goal in 12 home matches, all of which have ended in victory. That lone goal was scored by Borneo FC, the second-placed team behind Maung Bandung.
Reina's confidence stems from his team's success in scoring in their last six matches, both home and away. Persik have failed to score in just four of their 24 matches this season.
These four matches were away matches against Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC (0-1), Borneo (0-2), Persita Tangerang (0-3), and Malut United (0-4).
"We play with our own character. We have a good attacking system and have scored goals in every match. So I'm confident we can score against Persib Bandung," said the Spanish coach.
