Indonesian women's doubles pair Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari said they need to be calmer and more consistent in their playing style when facing the round of 16 of the 2026 All England.
"We have to be calmer from the start and stick to the pattern we want to play. We can't change anything," said Febriana after the round of 32 match at Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England.
The pair, familiarly known as Ana/Trias, secured their ticket to the second round of the 2026 All England Open after defeating Ukrainian representatives Polina Buhrova/Yevheniia Kantemyr in a three-game match 19-21, 21-15, 21-19.
Despite winning, Ana admitted that their performance did not match the game plan that had been prepared previously.
"Even though we won, today's match wasn't what we wanted. Our preparations didn't work out because we were constantly swept away by our opponents' play," he said.
According to him, the Ukrainian pair often played long rallies which were followed by Ana/Trias, making their game ineffective.
"They played for a long time and we always played along, which only made things more difficult for us," Ana said.
