Persib Bandung player Beckham Putra emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy diet during Ramadan to maintain optimal performance on the field.
For Beckham, Ramadan is not just a religious obligation, but a test of professionalism. He recognizes that proper nutrition and rest are key "fuel" for consistently performing at their best in matches, with Persib playing five matches this Ramadan.
"We have to watch what we eat and get enough rest. That will give us more energy. Especially during this fasting month, there are a lot of matches, five important ones. We have to be really focused to achieve maximum results," Beckham said, as quoted from Persib's official website on Thursday.
Beckham admits that the typical Ramadan food for breaking the fast is quite tempting to his taste.
However, he chose not to eat carelessly during the breaking of the fast or the pre-dawn meal because he realized that nutritional balance was a determining factor in ensuring his physical condition did not deteriorate during the match after breaking the fast.
