Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi is looking forward to continuing his positive streak at the next round in Brazil after winning the opening race of the 2026 MotoGP season in Buriram, Thailand, last weekend.
Bezzecchi dominated the main race at the Chang International Circuit leading from start to finish. The victory was a measure of redemption after failing to finish the sprint race the day before.
"After yesterday (the sprint), it was important to reset and try to bounce back in the race. I knew my pace was good, and if I started strong and stayed calm, I could open up a gap early on," Bezzecchi told the official MotoGP.
The Italian rider said tire management was key to maintaining his lead until the finish line, especially given the high wear rate throughout the race.
