Marquez still appreciates the Ducati team's work despite failing to finish in Thailand.
Ducati Lenovo Team rider Marc Marquez said his team continued to show competitive performance in the opening round of the 2026 MotoGP season at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand, last weekend, despite ending with a tire blowout that forced him to fail to finish.

The reigning world champion started the race from second place and was involved in a tight battle at the front. However, drama struck on lap 21 when his rear tire blew out, forcing him to retire and finish the race without any points.

"It's very strange because normally on double kerbs you have to be careful when jumping in, but when jumping out of the corner it's not designed to cause problems for the bike," Marquez told the official MotoGP website on Monday.
