The Bogor Hornbills swept Hangtuah clean in two meetings in the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) regular season, after winning 77-73 in the ninth week match, at the Laga Tangkas Sports Hall, Bogor Regency.
In their first meeting on January 10, Cesar Camara Peres' squad also secured a victory against Wahyu Widayat Jati's team, albeit by a narrow margin of 84-83.
Travin Thibodeaux emerged as the team's hero, after posting a double-double of 34 points and 13 rebounds , as well as an additional three assists in 35 minutes and 51 seconds of play.
The result also keeps the hosts firmly in second place in the league standings, with a 12-2 record (win-loss) and a total of 26 points. Meanwhile, the visitors are in fifth place with a 6-7 record and a total of 19 points.
In the second meeting, Hangtuah immediately dominated the game through the moves of senior guard Diftha Pratama, Nicholas Julian Hornsby, and Vander Lee Blue. The score was 30-19 in Hangtuah's favor in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the game became evenly matched, with both teams trading points. The home team scored 20 points, while their opponents scored 18, resulting in a 48-39 lead for Hangtuah.
