Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs said the network at Bakauheni Port remains reliable during the return flow

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital  Angga Raka Prabowo stated that telecommunications services at Bakauheni Port, Lampung, will remain reliable during the peak return flow of Eid al-Fitr 2026.

"In Bakauheni, the average speed reached 30 Mbps with a 96 percent success rate . The condition is very good," he said after reviewing the 2026 Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr Monitoring Post (RAFI) in Bakauheni, Lampung

Quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Angga said that based on the results of monitoring in the field, the quality of telecommunications services remained maintained despite a surge in traffic at a number of densely populated points for homecoming travelers.

During his visit, the Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital also had direct dialogue with the community to ensure their network usage experience during their trip.

"The people we met felt safe and the communication services were good throughout the trip," said Angga.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Services also recorded around 10,000 reports of service disruptions during the homecoming and return travel periods. These disruptions were generally triggered by traffic spikes during peak hours.

However, all of these reports have been handled by the cellular operator.

"We've monitored around 10,000 outage reports to mobile operators, and all of them have been resolved," Angga said.

He explained that the surge in traffic at the peak of the return flow had caused a decrease in speed at several points, but this condition had been anticipated through network strengthening.

In addition, the government, through the Monitoring Center, is also tightening supervision of the frequency spectrum to maintain communication quality, including in the transportation and safety sectors.

Surveillance is carried out in various strategic areas to prevent the use of illegal frequencies that have the potential to disrupt communications.
