Digital platform TikTok has stated its commitment to complying with Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 concerning the Protection of Electronic System Governance in Child Protection.
One of the steps that will be taken is to follow the provisions for setting up accounts for teenagers under 16 years of age after completing the self-assessment process.
"TikTok is committed to complying with these regulations during the transition period outlined in the Tunas PP, including taking compliance measures regarding accounts of teenagers under 16 following a self-assessment process," TikTok said in a statement.
