Mercedes driver George Russell leads the provisional standings for the 2026 Formula 1 world championship.
Russell is now at the top of the standings after winning the inaugural Formula 1 series at the Australian Grand Prix which took place at the Melbourne International Grand Prix, Melbourne.
The British racer appeared dominant throughout the first series, overcoming resistance from his teammate Kimi Antonelli and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
