Indonesian speed climbing coach Galar Pandu Asmoro stated that the new coaching team will take the positive aspects of the training pattern established by the previous coach, Hendra Basir, to maintain the continuity of athletes' achievements.
"The new coaching team will certainly take the positive aspects of what the previous coach built," he said after being introduced as the Indonesian speed climbing coach at the Indonesian climbing team's national training ground in Bekasi City.
According to him, drastic changes to the coaching system cannot be implemented because athletes have long-established habits and training patterns. Therefore, a gradual approach is considered the most appropriate strategy.
Galar explained that evaluations are ongoing to adapt the program to current coaching needs. Modifications to previous training systems and patterns, from techniques to training intensity, are also being made selectively, without eliminating the existing foundation.
