Red Bull driver Max Verstappen admitted that he was not worried about the finishing distance with the winner of the opening series of the Formula 1 (F1) season at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, Australia, on Sunday, namely George Russell from Mercedes.
Verstappen, who started from the back of the grid due to a crash in qualifying, finished sixth, 54.617 seconds behind pole-sitter Russell, who crossed the finish line in first place.
Scoring eight points in a very challenging race for him can be considered an achievement, but finishing almost a minute behind Russell also shows the big gap to Mercedes.
