Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev is stuck in Dubai, and is in danger of missing the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells, after the country's airspace was closed due to tensions in the Middle East following the United States airstrike on Iran.
Medvedev, who won the Duty Free Tennis Championships , was reportedly unable to fly out of the United Arab Emirates because Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport remains closed.
According to a report by Russian tennis outlet Bolshe Tennis Medvedev is currently in Dubai with his family and team. He is staying at a friend's apartment in Dubai and is safe, having previously stayed at a hotel.
