Striker Mohamed Salah has announced that he will leave Premier League club Liverpool at the end of this season, or in June 2026.
Quoted from the club's official website, Wednesday, Salah has reached an agreement with Liverpool not to extend their nine-year partnership.
Salah expressed his desire to make this announcement to the supporters as soon as possible to provide transparency about his future as a form of respect and gratitude to them.
Salah is still very focused on trying to achieve the best results for Liverpool at the end of this season, and therefore, the time to fully celebrate his legacy and achievements will come at the end of the year when he says goodbye to Anfield.
Salah also announced his decision to leave Liverpool via his personal Instagram post @mosalah, Tuesday evening local time.
"I want to start by saying that I never imagined this club, this city, these people would be a part of my life," Salah said.
"Liverpool is not just a football club, it's a passion, it's a history, it's a spirit, I can't explain it to anyone who isn't part of this club," he continued.
