Racer Lando Norris said his McLaren team needed to make significant improvements to their car after the opening round at the Australian Grand Prix produced a less than satisfactory result.
In the opening series of Formula 1 2026 at the Melbourne International Grand Prix, Melbourne, Norris could only finish fifth or behind the Mercedes duo of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli and the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
"We have a lot to look at, to try and understand, and I think we need to understand the power unit a little bit more, but that's what today is all about and we'll see what we can learn next week," Norris.
