The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) held an appreciation event for two athletes who won gold at the 2026 ASEAN Para Games (APG) in Thailand.
"I hope this can be a trigger for the enthusiasm of our athletes, both student athletes and junior athletes, to also achieve achievements like Bang Komet and Bang Kholidin," said Head of the Central Jakarta Youth and Sports Sub-agency, Hendra Eka Permana, to reporters at the breaking of the fast event at the KONI DKI.
"Judging by the achievements achieved by Central Jakarta so far, I am confident and hopeful that our athletes will continue to excel, both at national and international levels," he added.
athletes contributed six medals out of the 135 gold, 143 silver, and 114 bronze medals that Indonesia won in the APG.
Para-table tennis athlete Komet Akbar and para-archery athlete Kholidin contributed six medals, two gold and one silver each.
Komet won gold in the Men's Singles TT10 and Men's Doubles TT18, while he earned a silver in the Mixed Doubles TT20. Kholidin won the Men's Individual Recurve Open and Men's Doubles Recurve Open, as well as a silver in the Mixed Team Recurve Open.
