Indonesian men's doubles badminton players Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin are aiming to replicate the success of legendary Indonesian doubles pair "The Minons" Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya at the All England.
Marcus/Kevin were able to become champions in the BWF Super 1000 class tournament for two consecutive years, namely in 2017 and 2018.
"We remember the Indonesian men's doubles matches of the past few years. Our seniors were incredible when they performed here. The most exciting match for me was the match between Kevin/Marcus and Fikri/Bagas in the 2022 semifinals," Raymond was quoted as saying by PBSI on Monday.
"Consecutive All England champions Kevin and Marcus, or Fajar and Rian, are our inspiration to be like them too," Joaquin added.
