Riekerink: Dewa United wants to emulate Liverpool's mentality in the second leg
Dewa United FC coach Jan Olde Riekerink said his team wants to emulate Liverpool's mentality, which remained confident in turning things around after losing 0-1 in the first leg, ahead of the second leg of the 2026 AFC Challenge League quarter-finals.

Dewa United will face Manila Digger FC in the second leg which will be played at the Indomilk Arena.

"When I saw the comments yesterday after Galatasaray's match against Liverpool  Liverpool lost 1-0 and they said, 'Okay, we'll settle it at home,'" Riekerink said.

According to the Dutch coach, Liverpool's optimistic attitude inspired his team to turn things around in the home match.

"I think that's the attitude we'll have. Of course, we lost 1-0 away, but now we're playing at home and our goal is clear: to win the match," said the former coach of Turkish club Galatasaray.
