The national field hockey team has set a target of qualifying for the 2026 Asian Games.
  The men's national field hockey team has set a target of qualifying for the 2026 Asian Games when they take part in the 2026 Asian Games Qualification in Oman from March 25 to April 5, 2026.

"The Indonesian Men's Field Hockey Team has made history by qualifying for the Asian Games for the first time by winning a bronze medal in the 2022 Asian Games qualifying round in Jakarta. Now, our goal is not only to qualify for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games but also to become a finalist in the 2026 Asian Games qualifiers," said Aulia Akbar Al Ardh, Captain of the Indonesian Men's Field Hockey Team, in an official statement on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian women's national team is also targeting qualification for the 2026 Asian Games by placing in the top four in the 2026 Asian Games Qualification.

Ahead of this qualification, the Indonesian men's and women's teams will undergo a series of trials, starting with a match against Malaysia on March 1, 2026.

Then, the Indonesian team will be fielded in the 14th Hong Kong Quadrangular Hockey Tournament at the 9th Women's Hockey Invitational Tournament which will take place in Hong Kong, March 6-8, 2026.

Lastly, the Men's Field Hockey Team will appear at the "Belt and Road" Mass Sports Series & Hangzhou Gungshu International Hockey Invitational Tournament which will take place in Hangzhou, China, March 9-25, 2026.
