Three diaspora players were invited to take part in the Indonesian U17 national team selection.  Indonesian U17 national team coach Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto revealed that his team will invite three diaspora players to attend a training camp as part of the team's preparations for the 2026 AFF U17 Cup.

Kurniawan said the three players are from England, Australia, and New Zealand, and are currently in the communication stage to join the squad.

"Starting next week, we will invite three diaspora players. We're still in communication because one is from the UK regarding tickets, as they have to go through the Middle East. We're still working on a solution for that. Then there's one from Australia, and another from New Zealand," Kurniawan said after the 2026 AFF U-17 Championship group draw.
