The three fans left the “Al-Arjat 2” prison, located northeast of the capital Rabat, in a vehicle belonging to the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie, heading to a police station near the city of Salé, before they were released.

Upon leaving the police station, they were greeted by members of the Senegalese embassy.

LAlso on Saturday, a French citizen of Algerian origin was released after serving a three-month prison sentence, in connection with the same events at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

In the same case, 15 Senegalese fans are serving prison sentences ranging from six months to one year, which were confirmed last Monday at the appeal stage.

They were convicted on riot-related charges, including acts of violence against security forces, vandalism of sports equipment, pitch invasion, and throwing projectiles.
