To mark the occasion, Orenburg players wore classic black and yellow shirts, in a tribute to the club's long history.
The match witnessed strong competition between the two teams, and ended in favor of Lokomotiv thanks to the only goal scored by midfielder Alexei Patrakov in the 70th minute, giving his team the three points of the match and depriving the home team of celebrating their founding anniversary.
With this victory, Lokomotiv Moscow strengthened its position in third place with 48 points.
In contrast, Orenburg continued their struggles, extending their winless run in the league to five consecutive matches, remaining in 15th place second to last with 20 points.
