Easter: 40 Belgian chocolatiers exhibit their creations to benefit cancer research

Held at the Hotel Amigo until April 8th, the event allows visitors to discover original and inventive chocolate creations, all conceived around the theme "Pleasure in Motion." Trains, rockets, bicycles, carriages, and hot air balloons made of dark, milk, and white chocolate make up this exhibition, which showcases how Belgian chocolatiers are reinventing Easter traditions through sculpture and design, while reinforcing Belgium's image as a leading chocolate producer in Europe. Launched four years ago by chocolatier Marc Ducobu, Bel'Oeuf was created to bring together the country's artisans and encourage them to push their artistic and technical boundaries. Some pieces require up to 18 kilos of chocolate and 25 hours of work, yet remain entirely edible. Offered for sale from 900 euros, they also support Télévie, a major Belgian initiative to fund cancer research, while the organizers hope to send a positive signal to a sector weakened in recent years by tensions over cocoa and diseases affecting plantations.
