Indonesian para cyclist Muhammad Fadli Imammuddin is using his four medals at the 2026 Asian Para Track Championships as valuable capital to improve his performance ahead of the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from October 18-24.
At the championship held in Tagaytay City, Philippines, March 25-31, Fadli, who competed in the men's C4 category, won two gold medals from the Individual Pursuit and 1 Kilometer Time Trial events, as well as one silver medal each from the Scratch Race and a bronze from the Elimination.
"Thank God, in this race, I met my personal target and achieved a personal best . This is encouraging, as I know that at my age, I can still improve and be even better in my favorite class," Fadli said.
The 41-year-old athlete also recorded a personal best time in the men's 4,000-meter Individual Pursuit C4 event with a time of 4 minutes 48 seconds, or three seconds faster than his time at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
