The Russian military has conducted successful tests of a new and effective anti-suicide drone system, consisting of a small rotating robotic turret equipped with a 7.62 mm PKM machine gun, along with an automated vision unit.

The PKM machine gun is characterized by its high rate of fire and low ammunition cost. When integrated with an AI-powered ballistic computer that uses an optical sensor, this system transforms into something akin to a miniature Pantsir, capable of shooting down FPV drones at a range of 200 to 300 meters.

It is noted that this system, along with electronic warfare capabilities, would enhance the ability of armored vehicles to remain on the battlefield.

A tank equipped with this combat turret will not only be able to defend itself against enemy drones, but will also be able to provide fire support for infantry, while maintaining a high level of protection. This system can also be used on BMP infantry fighting vehicles and other armored vehicles.
