Despite Barcelona's 2-1 victory in the second leg match held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, it was not enough to turn the tables, especially after losing the first leg by two goals. The match ended in favor of the Madrid team with a total of 3-2, and Barcelona left the tournament before reaching the semi-finals.
Atletico will face either Arsenal of England or Sporting Lisbon of Portugal in the semi-finals, while Barcelona continues to struggle in the continental tournament, having not won the title since 2015.
Jamal wrote on his Instagram account after Barcelona's exit from the Champions League: "We did our best, but it wasn't enough. This is just the beginning of the journey: to reach the top, you have to climb, and we know it won't be easy, and they won't make it easy for us. But giving up is not an option."
