The Ministry of Communication and Digital Development will build 1,282 Internet Villages by 2025

 

  The Ministry of Communication and Digital  has built 1,282 fixed broadband internet access points as part of the Internet Village program to equalize connectivity down to the villages.

"In 2025, we successfully created 1,282 internet access points in 22 villages, 10 districts, 15 sub-districts, and 6 provinces," said Alfreno Kautsar Ramadhan, Special Staff to the Minister of Communication and Digital for Youth and Start-Ups, at a press conference in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Alfreno explained that the Internet Village program focuses on providing internet access in villages to support household activities, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and public facilities.

"This Internet Village program can accommodate our connected pillars because we can provide inclusive, high-quality, and affordable connectivity. We're doing this not only in city centers but also in villages," said Alfreno.
