They emphasized that regular dental checkups can prevent complications, speed up patient preparation for transplantation, and improve the chances of successful treatment.
The study's authors also called on doctors to integrate dental care into treatment plans for patients with chronic kidney disease, with the aim of reducing risks and improving patients' overall health.
A recent medical study also showed that regular dental care significantly reduces the risks to which patients with liver cirrhosis are exposed, including the likelihood of developing liver cancer and frequent hospital admissions.
