BNPP strengthens border diplomacy and cooperation with Timor Leste

The Indonesian National Border Management Agency (BNPP), through the momentum of the 24th Independence Restoration Day of Timor Leste, is committed to continuing to strengthen the country's border governance that is modern, collaborative, and oriented towards public welfare.

Quoted from the BNPP Public Relations press release in Jakarta, Indonesia and Timor Leste are expected to become more solid in building a peaceful, productive, and competitive border area as the front porch of the two countries.

Meanwhile, Secretary of BNPP RI Makhruzi Rahman together with BNPP officials attended the commemoration of restoration day which was held in Dili, Timor Leste.

The presence of BNPP officials is part of strengthening friendly relations and a commitment to cooperation in managing border areas between Indonesia and Timor Leste.

The participation of the Indonesian National Board for Border Protection (BNPP RI) in this state agenda emphasizes the importance of synergy and border diplomacy between the two countries, which have close geographical, historical, and social ties.

For the Indonesian National Board for Border Management (BNPP RI), border management is not only oriented towards security aspects, but also public services, regional connectivity, and improving the welfare of cross-border communities.

As the vanguard of state services in border areas, the Indonesian National Board for Border Protection (BNPP RI) currently manages a number of State Cross-Border Posts connecting Indonesia and Timor Leste, namely the Motaain PLBN in Belu Regency, the Motamasin PLBN in Malaka Regency, and the Wini PLBN and Napan PLBN in North Central Timor Regency (TTU), East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT).

The existence of the PLBN serves as a strategic hub for cross-border mobility, supporting the orderly and safe flow of people and goods, while strengthening economic activity and social relations between communities on both sides of the border.
