The International Basketball Federation has added 10 new series to the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Women's Series calendar, bringing the total to 25 tournaments, including a series in Batam, Indonesia, as part of expanding the global reach of women's 3x3 basketball.
The FIBA 3x3 website stated that the addition means the event will run from May to September.
According to FIBA data, this number represents a significant increase compared to the 2025 season, which only featured 15 series.
The competition opened in Chengdu, China on May 1-2, then continued to several cities in Asia and Europe before concluding at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Shanghai Project Redwings Final on September 5-6, 2026.
Indonesia was also included in the official calendar after Batam was appointed as the host of the series on July 23-24.
The presence of Batam City adds to the list of Southeast Asian countries that are trusted to host the international level women's 3x3 basketball event, after Manila , Singapore , and Bangkok.
