Former national racer Ananda Mikola Soeprapto has been officially appointed as the President Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association , a subsidiary of InJourney Tourism Development Corporation which manages the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
In an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, the appointment was part of MGPA's efforts to strengthen circuit management and develop the national and international motorsport ecosystem.
"I am grateful for the trust placed in me. Mandalika has great potential to continue developing as a motorsports hub," said Ananda.
Ananda is no stranger to national and international racing. Born 1980, he grew up surrounded by motorsports with his father, Tinton Suprapto, also a renowned national racer.
His career began in the early 1990s in national racing before moving on to international championships such as Italian Formula 3, Formula 3000, and World Series Lights. One of his most notable achievements was winning the Asian Formula 3 title with A1 Team Indonesia in 2005.
