Medco-Pondok Indah Golf 2026 will once again be a stage for young golf talent

The 2026 Medco-Pondok Indah International Amateur Golf Championship will not only be a competitive arena for amateur golfers, but is also projected to be a stage for the birth of potential new stars of Indonesian golf to reach the international level.

The tournament, which will take place at Pondok Indah Golf Course on July 14-16, is back on the Asia Pacific amateur golf calendar thanks to its recognition by the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) and the Official World Golf Ranking.

"We're not targeting the number of participants, but the quality of players who qualify for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)," said Herry Winarno, Deputy Chairman of Pondok Indah Golf Club, in a press conference at the Pondok Indah Golf Course on Tuesday.

The tournament can accommodate 124 participants, with a maximum handicap of eight for men and 10 for women. To date, 53 golfers have registered.

Registration for the tournament is open from May 1 to June 15, 2026. The championship is open to male and female golfers aged 13 to 30.

In addition to having a World Handicap System (WHS) handicap index, participants who do not have a handicap card are required to submit six match scorecards played between November 2025 and April 2026 for processing by the committee.
