Pep Guardiola congratulates Arsenal on their title win

Manchester City coach Joseph "Pep" Guardiola congratulated Arsenal on their Premier League title win.

Arsenal were confirmed champions after collecting a total of 82 points from 37 matches, or four points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

"Congratulations to Arsenal, Mikel Arteta and his staff and the fans for this Premier League title, it's well deserved," Pep Guardiola told Manchester City's official website on Wednesday.

The Citizens are certain to fail in the title race after being held to a 1-1 draw by hosts Bournemouth in the 37th week match.

Despite failing to win the Premier League title, the Spanish coach praised the efforts of Erling Haaland and his teammates, who were able to fight for the title until the final week of the competition.

"At the same time, during my managerial career, this was one of the years in which we struggled the most, with extraordinary circumstances beyond our control. We were always there and never gave up," said the former Bayern Munich coach.

Pep Guardiola admitted that this season has taught him a lot, even though his team was hit by a storm of injuries. However, he was able to fight back from that setback and continue to compete for the title.

"We've learned a lot this season. We've learned what we have to do to win. We have to win a lot of points, we have to have an advantage, unless there are any uncontrollable situations," he added.

This will reportedly be Guardiola's final season as Manchester City manager. Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to leave the Etihad Stadium after winning a total of 20 trophies in all competitions.
