President Prabowo Subianto has asked the public to record videos using their mobile phones and report them directly to him if they encounter any actions by officers that are not in accordance with regulations.
Speaking during the presentation of the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles at the 19th Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 5th Session of the 2025-2026 Session Year at the parliament complex, the President said that sometimes there are officials involved in corrupt practices by officials.
"Our people all have gadgets . If there's any misconduct by the authorities, I ask the people to video it, directly video it. Don't fight back, don't resist, just video it, report it directly to me," Prabowo said.
On that occasion, the President also ordered all ministers and heads of agencies in the Red and White Cabinet to clean up their institutions of corruption that was hampering the progress of the Indonesian economy.
"Don't hesitate. Those who violate the law will be prosecuted. Once again, all government institutions must function properly. We must eliminate corruption, abuse of authority, and practices that hinder our economic progress," he said.
