Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi are in Doha for talks with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani about a possible U.S.-Iran agreement to end the conflict, an informed official said on Monday.
The official told Reuters that the discussions focused primarily on the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium.
He added that the governor of the Iranian central bank was part of the delegation to discuss the possibility of releasing frozen Iranian funds as part of a final agreement.
Tehran is pressing in the negotiations for the release of its frozen funds abroad, including in Qatar.
