Several national sports figures, including weightlifter Rizki Juniansyah and the late athletics figure Bob Hasan, were awarded The Game Changer award by the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) during the 2026 Members' Meeting in Jakarta on Saturday.
"(The Game Changer Award) is not just about medals, but about dedication, consistency, and the courage to change things," said KOI Chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari to the media crew after the awards session.
The KOI's Game Changer Awards were presented in 10 categories. Rizki, who represented Indonesia with a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, received the Best of the Best award.
Safira Dwi Meilani, the 2025 SEA Games gold medalist in Thailand who recently won the highest podium in the 2026 Belgium Open Pencak Silat Championship, was awarded the Best Martial Arts Athlete Category.
Tennis player Janice Tjen, who had reached the WTA ranking of 36, was awarded the Best Games Athlete Category, while archer Diananda Choirunisa was named the recipient of the Best Accuracy Athlete Category.
