Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has asked soldiers serving in Papua to provide the best possible service to the community.
This was stated by Sjafrie when visiting Yonif TP 861/Maleo Kamur in Wanam Village, Ilwayab District, Merauke Regency, South Papua.
"The TNI is a people's army born from the people, serving the people, and will return to the people," said Sjafrie in a statement received.
According to Sjafrie, the presence of the TNI must have many positive impacts on society.
Not only providing a sense of security, Sjafrie emphasized that the TNI must also help improve the community's economy and develop village infrastructure.
These things can be fulfilled by Yonif TP because the unit is designed to have many capabilities ranging from managing food security land, managing fish livestock, providing health services to infrastructure development.
Not only that, Sjafrie also asked all soldiers of Yon TP 861/Maleo Kamur to strengthen cooperation and continue to hone their skills.
In this way, soldiers will be increasingly prepared to carry out regional defense duties and create prosperity for the people.
For your information, on the agenda, Sjafrie was accompanied by several high-ranking officials from the TNI Headquarters, one of whom was the Deputy TNI Commander, General TNI Tandyo Budi Revita.
During the visit, Sjafrie took the time to inspect several facilities at Yon TP 861, including the soldiers' kitchen. There, Sjafrie ensured that the soldiers' nutritional needs were being met.
