The Ministry of Youth and Sports collaborates with UGM to develop research-based youth and sports

The Ministry of Youth and Sports  is collaborating with Gadjah Mada University to develop academic research-based sports development.

"I believe the synergy between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UGM can serve as an example of how the government and universities work together to build a modern, innovative, and globally competitive youth and sports ecosystem," said Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat in an official statement.

The collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding or MoU between the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and UGM Chancellor Prof. Ova Emilia regarding the implementation of education, research, and community service in the field of youth and sports.

Taufik hopes that this collaboration will strengthen the use of big data and digital technology to map the potential of Indonesian youth in a more targeted manner.

In this way, he said, youth and sports programs can be designed more effectively and have a real impact on society.

Taufik added that this collaboration, he believes, is also proof that sports and youth development cannot be carried out partially.
