Two Palestinian women, one of them a child, were killed on Monday, and 20 others, mostly women and children, were injured as a result of an Israeli air strike that targeted a camp for displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that “Mrs. Hanan Mahmoud (31 years old) and the child Menna Allah Abu Labda (6 years old) were killed, and 20 others were injured, most of them women and children, as a result of an Israeli air raid that targeted the Ghaith camp, which shelters displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area.”

Local sources said the attack was carried out by two helicopters.

The ceasefire, which was reached last October, failed to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza, where since it was signed Israel has killed 904 Palestinians and wounded another 2,713 as of Monday, according to data from the Gaza Health Ministry.

The ceasefire resulted in Israel controlling more than half of the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, a medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said that the young man, Ahmed Samir Farhat, died on Monday, as a result of injuries he sustained from an Israeli bombing that targeted him west of the city a few days ago.

A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip reported that “the young man Nidal Shalha was martyred after being injured in an Israeli bombing of a police site in northern Gaza two days ago.”

In the central Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were injured in an Israeli air strike that targeted the home of the Al-Bashiti family in the Al-Maghazi camp at dawn.
