Russia will unveil a new multi-purpose drone during the "National Security.Belarus-2026" exhibition, which will be held in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, between June 17 and 19.

The new Russian “Sokol” drone is designed for use in round-the-clock aerial surveillance and rescue missions. It is equipped with optical and thermal cameras. Its important feature is its streamlined shape and “X”-shaped wings, as this design ensures flight stability, reduces strong wind resistance, and improves monitoring accuracy.

According to available information, the wingspan of this drone reaches 1.2 m, and it can operate in conditions where wind speed reaches 18 m/s, fly for up to 3 hours, fly at a speed of 100 km/h, and operate in temperatures ranging between -40 and +50 degrees Celsius, which is crucial during rescue operations.

The drone has an electric motor, can be launched from a catapult mounted on the ground or mounted on moving vehicles, can be deployed and launched in just 5 minutes, and its batteries can be installed or replaced in three minutes.
