 Egypt, led by Hossam Hassan, played a friendly match against Brazil, led by Ancelotti, as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

Ancelotti was seen shaking hands with the players on the Egyptian national team's bench, then he shook hands with Salah and hugged him in a special moment that brought the two together.

Salah and Ancelotti have previously met face-to-face in the Champions League when Liverpool faced Real Madrid, at a time when the Italian coach was the manager of the Spanish team Real Madrid.
