The World Boxing Council  has officially recognized Agit Kabayel as the new heavyweight world champion  after previous champion Oleksandr Usyk decided to relinquish all his titles.

"The heavyweight championship has always represented the highest honor in boxing, and Agit Kabayel has earned this moment through discipline, perseverance, and years of outstanding performances against world-class opponents," WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said on the WBC's official website, which was monitored.
