Indonesia stopped in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Junior Championships

The Indonesian junior badminton team was stopped in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Junior Championships team event after being defeated 0-2 by top seed Thailand 0-2 at the Yatsushiro City General Gymnasium.

Indonesia surrendered 48-55 and 49-55, thus stopping Jolin Angelia and friends.

"I think there are certainly many notes, but the most important thing is that there's still a week left in the individual events. So we'll try to maintain their physical, technical, tactical, and especially mental condition so they're ready to compete again," said Indonesian Team Manager Eskar Denatara in a statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) after the match.

Eskar believes there are still positive things to be learned from the Indonesian players' performance.

He hopes the players can use their experience in the team event as a provision to perform better in the individual event.
