In a heartwarming act of kindness, Russian tennis player and 2026 Roland Garros champion Mira Andreeva rescued a bee during her participation in the second round of the Bad Homburg tournament in Germany.

During the match against her compatriot Ekaterina Alexandrova, Andreeva noticed the insect on the court floor. She immediately stopped, gently picked up the bee on her bat, and safely removed it from the playing area to escape danger.

On the competitive front, and despite this humanitarian gesture, Andreeva, the second seed in the tournament, was unable to achieve victory, as she fell to Alexandrova in two consecutive sets, 3-6 and 4-6.

Andreeva achieved the biggest accomplishment of her career at the beginning of June, when she won the French Open tennis tournament, the second of the four Grand Slam tournaments, after defeating Poland’s Maja Chwalinska.
