Bezzecchi was uninjured after the incident at the Dutch MotoGP

Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi was uninjured after falling in the main Dutch MotoGP race which took place at the Assen Circuit.

"Aprilia Racing confirms that Bezzecchi underwent a CT scan and radiological examinations at the hospital, and no injuries were found. He has therefore been allowed to return to Italy," MotoGP wrote on Monday.

The Italian racer had previously had a fairly disappointing main race session.

The Bezz, as he is known, started the race from the front of the grid and immediately tried to compete for the front position.

Entering the second lap, Bezzecchi crashed at Turn 15. Losing control of his bike, he slid into the gravel.

Due to the heavy impact, Bezzecchi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Groningen. Fortunately, the driver, number 72, was uninjured.

However, the incident at the Assen MotoGP added to Bezzecchi's poor record, having failed to score points in the three main races of the last three MotoGP series.

Because he did not collect any points, Bezzecchi's position was displaced by his teammate Jorge Martin from the top of the MotoGP standings.
