The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has withdrawn Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah from the 2026 Macau Open due to health concerns ahead of the BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament.
PBSI Men's Singles Head Coach Indra Wijaya said the decision to withdraw Ginting and Ubed was taken after the coaching team discussed with the physiotherapists and medical team, with the players' recovery process a top priority.
"Ginting suffered a slip while competing at the Australian Open last week. After evaluating his condition with the physiotherapist team, we decided to withdraw Ginting from the Macau Open to allow for optimal recovery," Indra said in an official statement received.
Ginting last appeared at the 2026 Australian Open Super 500 last week. The Indonesian men's singles player was stopped in the first round.
