Inter Milan has officially extended coach Cristian Chivu's contract until the summer of 2028 after he successfully led the Nerazzurri to a Serie A and Coppa Italia double in the 2025/26 season.
"FC Internazionale Milano is pleased to confirm the contract extension of head coach Cristian Chivu. With this contract, Chivu will remain at the helm of the Nerazzurri until 2028," Inter Milan said in a statement on its official website on Thursday (June 18).
The club also said that Chivu's journey with Inter was a story built on passion, sacrifice and loyalty.
Chivu enjoyed a remarkable first full season as head coach, delivering Inter's 21st Scudetto and the club's 10th Coppa Italia title.
For this achievement, Chivu was also named Serie A Coach of the Year for the 2025/26 season. This success cemented Chivu's long-standing relationship with Inter.
