Juarez dominates Valle to retain WBC title

World Boxing Council (WBC) women's light flyweight world champion Lourdes Juarez dominated Yokasta Valle to retain her title in a duel of elite fighters in El Paso, Texas.

"Juarez won by split decision with the judges' scores: 95-94 and 98-91 for him and 95-94 for Valle," the WBC wrote on its website, which was monitored.

The fight was played at a high tempo, with both fighters cautious yet aggressive, seeking openings to score points.

The atmosphere in the El Paso arena is heating up as the fight pits two world champions with immense experience and reputations in international women's boxing.

From the opening bell, both fighters displayed their skills in a competitive and tactical fight. Valle, the WBC women's minimumweight champion, relied on quick footwork and the ability to strike on the move to avoid pressure from her opponent.

On the other hand, Juarez appeared more composed with consistent pressure and effective straight punch combinations to control the distance.

Juarez repeatedly cut off Valle's movement and forced him into close quarters. This strategy allowed the Mexican boxer to dictate the pace of the fight, especially as the fight entered the middle rounds.

Valle briefly put up a fight with quick combinations to the head and body, but Juarez responded with relentless pressure.
