Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chairman of the Government's Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee, stated that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to launch a national government digital transformation program in October 2026.
"The President will launch it nationally in October," Luhut said after attending a meeting on the Acceleration of Social Assistance Digitalization at the Ministry of Home Affairs Headquarters.
Luhut stated that the GovTech pilot project is currently underway in 43 regencies/cities. The government aims to receive a report on the project's implementation by the end of July 2026.
According to him, the President has directed that digital transformation be one of the government's priority programs. This system relies not only on the digitization of government services but is also supported by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
"The President has directed that this is a very important program. It's a digital-based government, but even more advanced, supported by AI," he said.
