BRI Super League club PSIM Yogyakarta announced the release of foreign striker Deri Corfe in this summer's transfer window.
Quoted from the club's official website, Thursday, PSIM Yogyakarta General Manager Steven Sunny expressed his gratitude for Corfe's contribution while defending Laskar Mataram.
"On behalf of PSIM management, I would like to thank Deri Corfe. During his one season with Laskar Mataram, he demonstrated extraordinary professionalism and work ethic, both on and off the field," said Steven.
The English player was one of the choices in the PSIM Yogyakarta front line in the 2025/2026 Super League competition, coached by head coach Jean-Paul van Gastel.
In the 2025/2026 Super League season, Corfe appeared in 30 matches and contributed three goals and one assist for PSIM Yogyakarta.
During his time at PSIM Yogyakarta, Corfe was known as a versatile player, capable of playing both on the left wing and as a striker, a skill that greatly helped the team.
Steven continued, even though they had to part ways, the 28-year-old player had given his own color to PSIM Yogyakarta.
"Our best wishes, may PSIM and Deri Corfe both find greater success in their respective careers. May Deri Corfe's career shine even brighter at his next club," Steven explained.
Deri Corfe became the second player released by PSIM Yogyakarta in this transfer window after they previously terminated the work contract with player Ikhsan Chan.
