Qatari police arrested 25 Arabs following a violent brawl inside a cafe in the Dafna area during the Algeria-Jordan match in the 2026 World Cup.

Social media activists circulated a video clip documenting the chaotic moments that prevailed in a restaurant in the Al Dafna area, where the brawlers appeared throwing chairs and smashing property, during the match between the Algerian and Jordanian national teams in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Following the spread of the video, the Qatari Ministry of Interior issued a statement via the "X" platform, confirming that the competent authorities immediately initiated procedures regarding these illegal actions, which constituted an infringement on the safety of individuals and property and a breach of security and public order.

The Ministry announced the arrest of 25 individuals of Arab nationalities and stated that legal procedures are being completed in preparation for their referral to the Public Prosecution. In closing, the Ministry warned the public against engaging in such behavior, emphasizing that it will not hesitate to enforce the law against anyone who threatens the security and safety of society.
